During the Sports Innovation Conference in Los Angeles last month, we had the chance to see the Intuit Dome up close. Beyond its scale and design, what stood out most was how deeply sustainability has been built into every part of the project.
The Intuit Dome is on track to become one of the world’s most sustainable sports venues. It operates with 2 megawatts of rooftop solar power and 11 megawatts of on-site battery storage, allowing the arena to run carbon free during many events. The facility also uses low-carbon concrete, reclaimed water systems, and a zero-waste operations model, setting a new benchmark for how arenas can balance performance, fan experience, and environmental responsibility.
This approach is not only good for the planet. It is good business. As major sports venues across the United States expand or prepare for redevelopment, cities and ownership groups are prioritizing energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable materials. Each of these areas opens the door for new partnerships, technology integrations, and specialized expertise from companies ready to meet those needs.
At Quartermaster California, we see growing opportunity for European firms in clean technology, construction innovation, and facility operations to play a leading role in this shift. The U.S. market is looking for proven solutions that deliver both impact and performance, and we are here to help bridge that connection.
Sustainability in sports is no longer a side conversation. It is a business advantage, and the Intuit Dome shows what that future looks like.
