Inclusion as Innovation: The Business Momentum Behind the Paralympic Movement
At the recent Sports Innovation Conference in Los Angeles, one theme stood out clearly: the growing business potential surrounding the Paralympic Games and the broader movement driving accessibility and adaptive innovation.
The International Paralympic Committee’s 2024 Annual Report shows how quickly this ecosystem is expanding. For the first time, all 22 sports were broadcast live, and a record 225 media rights holders covered the Games. The IPC also secured a historic grant agreement to increase global development initiatives, signaling that inclusion is now driving innovation, technology, and new markets.
This momentum reaches far beyond sport. It touches industries like health tech, mobility, product design, education, and hospitality, where accessibility and human-centered design are becoming pathways to growth and better experiences for everyone.
At Quartermaster California, we see major opportunities for companies ready to enter this space. Whether through market validation, product localization, or building a U.S. team, we help European founders bridge the gap and connect with a market that is not only expanding but also redefining what innovation means.
There is still much to learn, and we look forward to being part of the ongoing conversation about how inclusion fuels business and progress.
