Here in San Diego, we are fortunate to have one of the world’s leading universities right in our backyard. UC San Diego is not only a cornerstone of California’s innovation ecosystem, it is also an important partner for international collaboration.

Recent breakthroughs include new medical imaging tools that use less data, energy-efficient cooling systems for data centers, genetic engineering of mosquitoes to suppress disease transmission, and social science research that improves justice systems.
